Learn About New FedEx Services and Enhancements

Hi, my name is Dave Murray, Marketing advisor in FedEx Domestic Product Marketing. At FedEx we are constantly looking for new ways to serve you better, whatever your shipping or business needs. That's why we've recently launched several new services and service enhancements that all businesses can benefit from, whether you're shipping packages, freight or dangerous goods or ordering your supplies, we have a solution that fits your needs.

The first new service that I want to tell you about is FedEx 2Day A.M. FedEx 2Day A.M. delivers shipments on the second day by 10:30 a.m. to most areas, and noon to some ZIP codes.

You benefit from FedEx 2Day A.M. if you are a customer with planned supply chain operations, who likes to turn around shipments on the same day that you receive them; or you're a customer who wants a smaller window for morning delivery that's also cost-effective. Or you're a customer who ships to facilities that are closed or have peak operations in the afternoon and morning delivery is more convenient for them.

Another great new service from FedEx is FedEx First Overnight Freight. Now you have the option of early morning delivery of your critical freight shipments, backed by a money-back guarantee.

FedEx First Overnight Freight will deliver urgent shipments the next business day by 9 a.m., 10:30 a.m or noon based on the service are, shaving off 4 and 1/2 hours of delivery time in some service areas compared to FedEx One Day Freight.

FedEx First Overnight Freight is for you if you need fast delivery of critical freight shipments and it also provides you more delivery time options as part of our full suite of freight services. We have also expanded the FedEx Express services to include delivery of your urgent dangerous goods shipments with FedEx First Overnight and FedEx International First.

FedEx First Overnight offers fast, reliable delivery of your dangerous goods shipments within the U.S. You get next-business-day delivery as early as 8 a.m., depending on your destination ZIP code.

FedEx International First can now also be used to ship your dangerous goods inbound to the U.S. from more than 60 countries and Caribbean islands. You benefit from delivery in 1 or 2 business days as early as 8 a.m., depending on your destination ZIP code.

Because of these new services and service enhancements, we've simplified the FedEx US airbill to make it more convenient for you to ship packages and freight. The most notable change is that we now have 2 separate airbills: one fore express freight and another for express package services.

On the FedEx Express package US aribill, notice that the order of services has changed to begin with the most urgent shipping services and that FedEx 2Day A.M. service has been added to that list.

The new FedEx Freight US airbill includes new handling options and it also includes the new FedEx First Overnight Freight service.

You can use the recently re-designed fedex.com to order your new airbills or other FedEx shipping supplies. We are always looking for new ways to help small businesses and we hope that these new services and service enhancements provide you and your business with greater flexibility and faster delivery for your shipments.
